More cousin time

More cousins, just different side of the family tree. These 6 kids have a blast together. I am loving how their relationships are growing. They have their moments of whining, tattling and fighting but I try to block it out...both while it's happening and in my memory :)!

Hello Kansas City!

Olivia's First Holy Communion brought us to KC for the weekend. We had so much fun playing. Logan and Payton worked on pitching. It was a kind of awesome watching them work together. Payton coaching him and Logan listening. Avery was pretty obsessed with the washers game. It's never to Early to start preparing them for college and tailgating. Kale and Lucas ran around with Conner and Austin and were probably up to no good for most of the time. It's a rare opportunity for this group to be together but they make the most of it and love every minute!

Torture session

We now know how to torture Avery...apparently it's painting her toe nails. I had looked forward to painting the ladies toes. Aunt Kasey was on it. Avery helps pick the polish color and takes over all the bottles were not using. We grab those plump piggies and it all begins to go bad. Avery quickly whacks aunt K with her bottle of polish and tries to retreat. The look on her face was very clearly saying, WTH! Avery's resistance was no match for our persistence. We finally got those piggies painted. Such a good job! I really thought she would love it. She loves showing off her shoes, bracelets, purses, etc. I thought painted piggies would be next on the list. I. Was.Wrong.

B Boys on the diamond

Ahhh...baseball season, we love you! Lucas has taken a liking to the catcher position. He's pretty awesome at and an rarely drops a ball. Not real quick on chasing down the ball yet but he'll get there. No matter what we tell him he insists on tucking his arm under the front of his chest gear vs behind his back. All 3 boys are really tearing it up out there. Logan is a great hitter. Kale can knock that ball off the tee in the outfield. Kale's fielding...on par for a kindergardner.

Looking good!

Let's head to church! Don't let those smiles make you think they were excited to go, 'cuz they weren't.

Ice Skating Party

Logster went with an ice skating birthday party this year. Grumpy ol' Dad thinks b-day parties should be a thing of the past for a nine year old but he got trumped. Logan picked a handful of his buddies and we headed to the Jones Center for some ice skating, pizza and cake. The boys slid on those skates and onto the ice. Within 10 minutes the fire alarm went off and we had to evacuate the rink. Apparently there was a fire in the building but far, far from us. This unplanned event almost put this party as the worst ever but, after a 15 minute break they were back on the ice and the smile was back on Logan's face. The kids had a blast. Lots of time was spent skating on body parts other than their feet. These kids walked away with some new black and blue spots. Chris was the lucky dad that got to help Kale round the rink. The B boys did a great job considering it was nearly every one's first time. Logan has some a great bunch of friends and it's fun to see them together. They all got party favor t-shirts with fish scales on them that said, "Logan's 9th birthday was off the hook!"
