The First Four

While the Wildcats didn't make it to the final four, Avery did make it through the first four. Our sweet little lady is 4 weeks old and looks mighty fine in the dress her momma made her. At least that's what I think now...who knows what we'll think when we look back on these together years from now!
Avery is still adored by her brothers who are often way too in to their sister. She still tries to confuse her days and her nights sometimes. We get an occasional smile. She took 2 bottles this week so Mom could get out of the house. It's a huge relief that she isn't going to pull a Kale and boycott the bottle! She's filling out nicely but we have no idea how much she weighs...I would guess around 9 pounds. I'm still surprised often that we have another girl in the house.

A deep thought by Lucas

"So, if a girl wears a dress in space it will float above her head?"

Quiet Time

If a girls doesn't want awake time she's not going to have it. No matter what I try...she just wants to sleep.
Logan used to sleep so late I called him my little teenager. However, this spring break he has woken up really early so that he is the first B boy up and can have uninterrupted time with his sister. He comes straight down, plops on the couch and takes over. I can see it in his eyes that he wants to carry her. At least twice a day, we discuss how it's not him I'm worried about it's his floppy ol' sister. So far he hasn't tried to carry her...but I know he wants to.

Wichita Visitors

Nana and Papa visited from the windy city of Wichita. The weather was perfect for lots of basketball, kite flying, monster truck driving/crashing/racing, and soccer practice watching. Kale got to stay home on Friday and start his Spring Break early. Avery and I even left the house for a quick visit to Target. Well Avery just made it to the Target Parking lot 'cuz her mom is a germaphobe! Lots of snuggling and watching movies and a little NCAA B-ball. Kale made the most beautiful cupcakes (with a little help from Nana). I think our recent visitors have been surprised how much Kale talks!

Avery is 2 weeks

Avery is growing like a weed! She had a 2 week check up on Friday and had gained 10 oz in 1 week! She was 7 lbs 5 oz...still not even meeting the birth weight of any of her brothers but growing well. As you can tell from her pictures she is filling out some. Socks even stay on her feet!

Great Bend Visitors

The grandparents visited from Great Bend to meet Miss Avery as well as spoil some B boys. They were able to celebrate Lucas' birthday with him and be spectators at Logan's soccer practice. Then Logan whooped everybody in a game of bowling. Logan took Grandma for $5 on that game. We are considering enrolling Logan in Gambling Anonymous.

Lucas is 6!

Lucas had a "rockin'" end to 5. He went out with a "bang"...that will lead him to the pricipal's office his first day of school as a 6 year old. Regardless, we still let him have a birthday celebration. In the B family tradition he woke up to a decorated bed filled with balloons. He blew out his canldles at breakfast and cake time. He was showered with gifts. He got an ice cream cake. He didn't have school. Grandma and Grandpa visited. It's good being 6!
