Logan is 8!

Logan has been waiting to turn 8 for a long time and it is finally here! He didn't get a cell phone or his hunting license but it was a good birthday no the less. Doubt it will be the one that is forever captured in his memory though. Like a boy after my own heart, his b-day celebration stretched over 3 days...party, bike, actual birthday. We hid his new bike in the neighbors garage. I told him there was a deer head in there and to go check it out. He was disappointed there wasn't a deer head. Guess I shouldn't have chosen such a glamorous trick. Then on his actual birthday he got to learn that when you get a big expensive gift the other gifts tend to not be as significant as he would like (ie ipod touch). Not to mention Daddy hurt his feelings which allegedly ruined his whole birthday...for like an hour!

Soccer Saturday

Soccer season was kicked off this weekend. The B Boys both played amazing games. Lucas scored 2 goals. Logan's team got schooled. They played a team we always lose to and the boys are getting used to the new coach. As Meredith predicted it was tough for me to be the parent and not the coach. I think the new coach may end up asking me to wear a gag to the games or sit in the car. Avery was able to attend both of her brother's games and actually sleep through her crazy mothers "cheering". The pasty white B boys all have pink faces now. Who thought they would need sunscreen in early April.
