It's good to be 7!

After many celebrations, Logan is finally almost 7! He has the fortunate pleasure of having his birthday on Easter Sunday. With a Saturday full of soccer games, we planned the party for Friday night...Good Friday that is and man was it good! It was a laser tag Party at FastLane. Other than the fact that Friday night is a crazy time to have a party as they are crazy busy, the party was a blast. They played a round of laser tag, splitting the boys up into 2 teams (Logan's won the first round, not that we were keeping score). It 's a pirate themed laser tag arena. So it's like you are on a pirate ship with a couple of levels and a draw bridge all under black lights of course. ***FYI never wear a black sweater under black lights...lots of black light "lint "on the sweater. Wearing white is totally cool though!*** The boys ran walked quickly around shooting each other like maniacs. After round one we headed to the party room for pizza (of course cheese as it was good Friday), cookie cake (Harps decorated the cake with a rifle even though I said laser tag. Whatever!), and then tearing into presents. BTW, it is totally necessary to remind your kid of the appropriate way to respond to opening gifts at 7! Then round 2 of laser tag began. A couple of the dad's played this round and Steve played with Kale in his arms 'cuz the vest was way too big for K-Man. While it was good to be 7, apparently it's not good to be 3 at a 7 year old's party. Kale was too little to do anything and it made him mad. He has very good negotiation skills and threatening skills but unfortunately I don't set the rules. After the party we stayed with a couple of friend and race the go carts. Another thing Kale could not do. Poor kid couldn't catch a break. Logan & Lucas had a total blast on the go carts! We tried to go bowling and feed the adults some pizza but didn't think it was worn a nearly 2 hours of waiting. Instead we caught a pizza and brewski at another favorite pizza spot. The boys wear unbelievably great even considering the activities and how late it was. We truly had so much fun. Logan's 7th birth was rockin'.
